In search of dignity and human rights
The Bioethics Committee is established for the purpose of deliberating and rationally discussing moral dilemmas that arise in the field of life sciences and health, with a view to protecting the dignity and rights of individuals, safeguarding both respect for patients' rights and the legitimate interests of the institution and members of the healthcare team.
The Bioethics Committee is established as an effective alternative for promoting healthy therapeutic relationships based on defending patients as autonomous moral subjects and bearers of rights, while also supporting the decisions of the healthcare team by providing a pluralistic, interdisciplinary, and democratic forum for reflection.
