At Medical Center , we have an emergency service with a team of professionals who are highly trained in the management of urgent conditions. In addition, we have state-of-the-art technological equipment to respond quickly and efficiently.

This service is organized into different areas and levels of care:

Medical Guard

The Emergency Service includes the Medical Guard area, which is dedicated to the unscheduled care of patients with various acute and low-complexity conditions, where the medical team performs clinical evaluations, makes diagnoses, prescribes treatment, and then decides on the next steps: discharge, outpatient follow-up, or hospitalization.

The servicehas a highly trained professional staff and state-of-the-art technological equipment.

We have guards in the following specialties:

-Medical clinic: 24-hour care.

-Traumatology: 24-hour care.

-Gynecology and Obstetrics: 24-hour care.

-Ophthalmology: Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays 24 hours.

-Ear, Nose, and Throat: Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (located at Paraguay 2303, 2nd floor)

The services provided in the area must be used responsibly.

Let's reserve the following situations for scheduled appointments with outpatient clinics and/or primary care physicians:

-Follow-up or prescription of medication for chronic diseases.

-Assessments for school, university, work, or physical activity admission.

-Transcription of expired study requests.

Shock Room

This is a care area specially designed for the resuscitation and stabilization of critically ill patients. The sector is equipped with the most advanced technology for the diagnosis and treatment of seriously ill patients.

24-hour on-call team for the following specialties:

– Emergency medicine
– Internal medicine
– Gynecology and obstetrics
– Traumatology

Ophthalmology – Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays 24 hours a day

Ear, Nose, and Throat Specialist
– Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Day Hospital

This area is dedicated to outpatient care, where diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures are performed under the supervision and monitoring of our professionals during a short hospital stay. We provide care to both oncology and onco-hematology patients who can undergo chemotherapy treatments on an outpatient basis, as well as non-oncology patients who require treatments or procedures that, due to their level of complexity, require nursing care and medical supervision during the procedure, For example, transfusion of blood products, administration of scheduled medication (iron, calcium fixers, gamma globulins), recovery after lumbar blocks, endoscopies, and low-complexity post-operative care.

The administrative management of the service has a scheduled agenda to facilitate admission and reduce waiting times.

You can schedule your appointment as follows:

1- Request an appointment.

Come in person or call the appointment center and provide the following information:

ID card / physical or virtual health insurance card / medical order for reservation request with estimated date and proposed treatment (attach application protocol) / authorization for practice and/or medication application by the prepaid health plan.

If booking by phone, please send documents to the following email address hospitaldedia@otamendi.com.ar

2- You will be assigned an appointment with a date and time.

On that day, you must arrive 15 minutes before your shift and report to the secretary's office at reception in room C.

3- The nurse will call you from the waiting room to assign you your place.

Remember that if you are a cancer patient and your oncologist has requested laboratory tests prior to chemotherapy infusion, you can have them done at our laboratory 24/48 hours in advance without an appointment, or if you prefer to have them done on the same day, you can have them done 2 hours in advance.

If the medication is sent by your health insurance, it must be at our pharmacy 24/48 hours before your appointment. Otherwise, we will contact you so that you can file the corresponding claim and follow up.
