This service is designed to perform comprehensive clinical evaluations of patients who have scheduled surgeries in different specialties, at least 30 days before the surgery date.
The main objective is to reduce the possibility of complications during and after the procedure. To this end, both the risk of the procedure and the patient are assessed through a medical interview, which includes taking a medical history, performing a physical examination, conducting laboratory tests, performing an electrocardiogram, and, depending on the case, other complementary studies. The data obtained is used to decide whether special care is needed before, during, or after the procedure.
The service operates without an appointment schedule, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for patients requiring laboratory tests and from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for patients bringing in laboratory tests that include a coagulation panel. Patients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis and are asked to report to reception in Room B, where they will be registered and called by phlebotomists and medical specialists for their consultation. No doctor's order is required; we will issue one at the time of your visit. Please remember to fast for 8 hours prior to your visit.
