Spaces designed and equipped with state-of-the-art technology

At Sanatorio Otamendi, we offer a unique healthcare concept that prioritizes the spaces in which medical care is provided. This structural concept can be seen in all areas of the facility and, fundamentally, in the place where our patients are treated.

Obstetrics

Located on the fifth floor of the Sanatorium, it consists of private pre-delivery rooms, two delivery rooms, and two operating rooms for cesarean sections. In this area, labor care is provided with the assistance of obstetrics teams and a specialized nursing system. The pre-delivery rooms are individual, equipped with everything necessary for effective labor care in a suitable environment. Adjacent to this area is the restricted area of delivery rooms and operating rooms with their respective newborn reception areas, where the first check-up of the newborn is performed prior to transfer to the neonatology department.

Rooms and Suites

We have different types of single rooms, which offer all the necessary medical care facilities (ergonomic beds that adapt to the patient's needs, central oxygen supply, central air conditioning, and central heating) and have been designed to provide a warm and comfortable stay for patients and their families.

Intensive Care and Coronary Care Unit

We have extensive facilities that include 28 single rooms. This area is characterized by the possibility of family members staying with their loved ones for most of their stay in the critical care unit. Our rooms are equipped with the appropriate equipment to meet the medical needs of hospitalized patients and have access to advanced diagnostic imaging and laboratory equipment. In addition to the innovative concept of single rooms with ergonomic beds and private bathrooms, we have created a waiting area exclusively for this area.

Cardiac Catheterization Lab

This is a space equipped with advanced technology for performing invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to the cardiovascular system. Various procedures can be carried out in this room, including cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stent placement, tumor embolization, and other procedures. To this end, it is equipped with monitors that allow real-time visualization of images of the interior of blood vessels and the heart, as well as specialized equipment for performing the procedures.

Admission to Neonatology

The physical plant is located on the second floor of the Sanatorium, with areas for healthy newborns, intensive and intermediate care, and emergency rooms. Support areas include a laminar flow milk fractionation area and a separate area for preparing medications.

The fifth floor houses the reception areas for newborns in the delivery rooms and operating rooms. After birth, all newborns go to their family's room, where they receive support from pediatric nurses who provide advice and promote breastfeeding and, if necessary, special care at the clinic. The high-risk newborn clinics are located on the second floor.

Emergency Service

Located on the ground floor of our Sanatorium, the Emergency Department offers:

The Shock Room: is a care area specially designed for the resuscitation and stabilization of critically ill patients. It is equipped with the most advanced technology for diagnosis and acute treatment, consisting of private rooms and emergency stations.

The Day Hospital: this is an area for evaluating patients under observation. It consists of individual rooms equipped with oxygen therapy, central suction, and its own nursing system.

The Medical Guard: this is an area where patients are treated 24 hours a day.

Operating room

We have eight operating rooms equipped with state-of-the-art technology. They are designed with ample space to provide greater comfort for the surgical team. One of them has been prepared to receive patients with latex allergies. Waiting areas for family members are located on the sixth floor, fourth floor (Patio Andaluz), and second floor (Plaza Central).
