Our goal is for you to breathe better and better
For more than 40 years, the Medical Center has maintained its leadership in healthcare and academia in the treatment of respiratory diseases. The study of these diseases has evolved significantly in scientific knowledge, both diagnostically and therapeutically. The different branches of the specialty have become more complex and have substantially improved patients' life expectancy and quality of life. In a paradigm shift, we view respiratory diseases as undergoing a process of constant evolution in terms of the need for a multidisciplinary, patient-centered approach, the complexity of diagnostic methods and their interpretation, and diagnostic and therapeutic methodology using minimally invasive procedures.
Services
Some of the common services we offer may include:
- Pulmonary evaluations and diagnostic tests, such as spirometry, pulse oximetry, and chest CT scans.
- Medical and pharmacological treatments, such as the administration of inhalers, corticosteroids, bronchodilators, and other medications for the treatment of asthma and other respiratory diseases.
- Surgical treatments, such as thoracic surgery to treat lung cancer, COPD, and other serious lung conditions.
- Respiratory therapy, which may include breathing exercises, breathing techniques, and other treatments to improve lung function and quality of life.
- Pulmonary rehabilitation programs, which may include supervised physical exercise, nutritional counseling, and education on how to live with respiratory diseases.
It is important to discuss with your doctor which treatment is appropriate for your individual case and which may be best for your needs.
