Traumatology is the medical specialty that deals with the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of traumatic injuries to the musculoskeletal system, i.e., bones, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Traumatology deals with injuries that occur as a result of accidents, sports injuries, falls, among others.
