A splenic scintigram is a nuclear medicine test used to evaluate the function and blood flow of the spleen and to detect accessory spleens.

It is performed by injecting a radiopharmaceutical that is absorbed by the spleen tissue and allows images to be obtained with a gamma camera.

The exam lasts approximately 45 minutes.
