An X-ray is an imaging study that uses X-rays to take radiographic images of the spine using a panoramic projection in order to evaluate the axis, curvature, posterior alignment, and whether there are any abnormalities in the structures being evaluated.
During the examination, the patient must remove any metal objects from the area to be examined and position themselves as instructed by the radiology technician, so that different projections can be taken, in accordance with the doctor's request. The images obtained will then be analyzed and reported on by a specialist in diagnostic imaging.
