TOMOGRAPHY WITHOUT CONTRAST: During the exam, the patient will lie down on a stretcher, which will slide into the tomograph while a voice gives the respective instructions, allowing several images to be obtained and then processed by a computer to create a multiplanar study that will be analyzed and reported by the specialist in diagnostic imaging.
INTRAVENOUS CONTRAST TOMOGRAPHY: In this case, an IV line will be placed in the patient, which will be used for the subsequent injection of iodinated contrast, which will improve contrast and evaluate the enhancement of the structures that make up the region to be studied. If you are allergic to iodine, you must inform us when you make your appointment.
