SCHEDULE

Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

PREPARATION
To carry out the study, it is necessary to:

  1. Obtain a sterile wide-mouth container with an airtight lid (a urine culture container may be used).
  2. Provide a dry container for collecting feces (tray, basin, etc.), washed with soap and water.
  3. Obtain a new disposable plastic spoon to transfer fecal matter to the jar.

Instructions for obtaining samples: Collect fecal matter from any spontaneous bowel movement in a disinfected, dry container (not in the toilet), avoiding contamination with urine. Immediately collect the equivalent of one teaspoonful in the sterile container (this is what you will deliver to the laboratory).

Important considerations:

Deliver the sample to the laboratory within 24 hours of collection and keep it refrigerated (in the refrigerator) until delivery. Take the sample to the laboratory Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

WHERE TO CONDUCT THE STUDY
Admission must be done at the reception desk.
