Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
MORNING PREPARATION
The sample for this study must be obtained no later than 9:00 a.m., unless otherwise indicated by a doctor. This is because the concentration of cortisol in the bloodstream changes throughout the day. On the day of the test, go to the laboratory after fasting for 8 hours, before 8:30 a.m., as it is necessary to rest for 20 minutes before the sample is taken. It is recommended that you carefully observe the schedule to avoid incorrect results or having to postpone the study until the next day. Inform the laboratory receptionist of any medication you take regularly, especially corticosteroids, regardless of the route of administration (oral, injectable, cream, spray, rectal).
AFTERNOON PREPARATION
Arrive at the laboratory 20 minutes before 4:00 p.m. (unless otherwise specified by your doctor), having eaten a light, fat-free lunch.
WHERE TO CONDUCT THE STUDY
Admission must be done at the reception desk.
