No concurrir a la toma de muestra durante el período mensutrual o si presenta sangrado vaginal. La muestra debe tomarse 48 -72 hs horas después de finalizado el sangrado.
If you are pregnant, the sample must be obtained by your doctor. Ask the laboratory for the appropriate transport medium before your doctor obtains the sample.
Discontinue all antibiotic treatment (oral, creams, or suppositories) 72 hours before the sample is taken, unless expressly indicated by a doctor.
Observe sexual abstinence for 72 hours prior to the study.
Since the night before, do not use douches, deodorants, vaginal creams, or talcum powder.
Antes de concurrir al laboratorio realizar higiene vulvar (externa) con agua y jabón siempre de adelante hacia atrás, nunca en sentido inverso para evitar la contaminación.
