Previous studies

To facilitate access to and organization of any previous and/or pre-surgical tests brought to the Sanatorium, please store them in the green bag available in each room. As these tests may be consulted by various doctors in different areas of the hospital, we kindly ask you to check periodically and before discharge that none of your tests are missing.

Studies conducted during your hospitalization

The test results will be provided upon discharge by the floor secretaries or nurses. You may request them after discharge by emailing: auditoriadeterreno@otamendi.com.ar

Request for medical records

To access a copy of the medical record*, the patient, family member, and/or authorized representative who can prove their relationship must send an email to nasrac@otamendi.com.ar. Delivery will be made within 48 business hours of the request being made.*Law 25,326 on "Personal Data Protection."

Room changes

If the patient must be transferred from their room to another inpatient area, their relatives must vacate the room as soon as possible, removing their personal belongings.

For patients who require transfer and/or are waiting for a family member, we request that you do so in the common areas of the Sanatorium in order to allow for the prompt delivery of the room to incoming patients. Patients who require transfer by ambulance are exempt from this rule and should wait in the corresponding room. Your cooperation is essential to avoid delays for patients waiting for a room.

Transfer of the newborn

It is the policy of the Sanatorium that all newborns be transported and leave the premises in a safety device (car seat /infant carrier ). This device is not provided by the Sanatorium and should only be used at the time of discharge, so it is not necessary to bring it with you before discharge.

Medical discharge

The timing of your discharge is very important, which is why you will be informed 24 hours in advance. The Medical Center discharge time Medical Center before 9 a.m. (on the day of medical discharge). It is very important that you ask any questions you may have at this time to ensure you receive the correct care outside the Medical Center. At the time of discharge, the doctor will give you any necessary instructions, prescriptions, or medical orders. After receiving your medical discharge, you should go to the waiting room on the first floor, where you completed the admission procedures, to finalize the discharge procedures. If possible, before leaving the room, dial *53 on the telephone. This will help us identify that the room is empty. Making the room available as soon as possible helps us prepare it for a new patient. We appreciate your cooperation.

Civil registry

On the ground floor (extension 5685), there is an office of the Civil Registry of the Government of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. Birth certificates will be sent to the department 24 hours after the birth. Parents may visit the office from that moment on without an appointment from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (it is not necessary for the obstetric patient to visit during her hospitalization; she can wait until she is discharged). Delivery of ID card: it will be sent by mail to the address provided by the parents.

Requirements to complete the process:

Married parents: one of the two may attend with the following documentation: Marriage certificate and ID cards of both parents.

Single parents: both must attend with their corresponding ID cards.

Chargeable services

Companion and telephone usage: if the companion decides to use the hotel service (which includes bed making, towels, personal hygiene kit, and breakfast), they must pay a fee (check with reception) per night of hospitalization; otherwise, the companion may choose to stay without using the services, in which case they will not pay any additional cost. If you do not use the companion service, please notify Hotel Supervision and/or the Admissions department. Due to hospital policy, minors are not allowed to stay as companions. The only departments authorized to provide information about coverage, costs, and hospital policies are Admissions and Billing. Any administrative information provided by departments other than those authorized will not be considered valid.
