Admission to the Coronary Care Unit
Visiting hours
We always seek to establish visitor hours by mutual agreement, taking into account the preferences of both the patient and their family.
Since we treat patients in critical condition, we have established more specific visiting hours compared to general inpatient areas, which are between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. During this period, we kindly request that only one person be in the room with the patient.
For your convenience, you may remain in the designated waiting rooms until visiting hours begin.
We remind you that children are not allowed to enter, although we understand that there may be exceptions. If this situation arises, we recommend that you speak with the doctor in charge, who will evaluate and consider the particular situation.
It is important to note that between 8 and 11 a.m., all hospitalized patients are evaluated by our medical professionals.
Medical reports:
Between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., our professionals will be available to provide you with a medical report on the patient's progress. We encourage you to use this time to ask questions and clarify any doubts you may have. The participation of patients and families is key to recovery, and we welcome your questions.
Although we currently offer a single daily report, please be aware that if circumstances require it, we will contact you to share any news. If this communication is necessary outside of the established coordination hours, our team of professionals on call will be responsible for providing the necessary information.
Companion:
Anyone wishing to stay with the patient outside visiting hours and with the prior authorization of the attending physician must request a companion card:
- Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., at the Hospital Admissions Desk (1st floor)
- Monday to Friday from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m., at the Emergency Reception (ground floor)
- Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays at the Reception Desk (Mezzanine)
Guests staying overnight may or may not use the Hotel Service, which includes bed making, a set of towels, a personal hygiene kit, and breakfast. This has an additional cost, which you can check with our Hotel Supervisors. If you do not wish to use this service, please also notify us by calling extension 5115.
Please note that the accompanying person must be of legal age and in good health.
Hand washing
At the Medical Center very strict about hand washing. Hand washing is a simple preventive measure and is required every time you enter and leave the room. We ask for your help in enforcing this rule. Ask your family members and healthcare professionals to wash their hands frequently and to use hydroalcoholic solution. Hand washing saves lives.
