SCHEDULE
Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
PREPARATION
- Schedule the procedure on dates far from the menstrual period, unless otherwise indicated by the physician.
- If you are pregnant, the sample must be obtained by your doctor. Ask the laboratory for the appropriate transport medium before your doctor obtains the sample.
- Discontinue all antibiotic treatment (oral, creams, or suppositories) 72 hours before the sample is taken, unless expressly indicated by a doctor.
- Observe sexual abstinence for 72 hours prior to the study.
- Since the night before, do not use douches, deodorants, vaginal creams, or talcum powder.
- Before going to the laboratory, wash the vulva (externally) with soap and water, always from front to back, never in the opposite direction, to avoid contamination.
WHERE TO CONDUCT THE STUDY
Admission must be done at the reception desk.
